Our purpose

Ahlulbayt Bookstore, establised in 2020 (1441 AH), serves as an educational hub aimed at enriching the knowledge and readership within our communities. We focus on facilitating access to both classic and contemporary works that shed light on the noble Prophet Mohammed (SAW) and his family, the Ahlulbayt (AS), whose lives and teachings are pivotal to understanding our faith.

The inspiration behind the name

Our store is named after the Ahlulbayt, the revered household of the Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him and his progeny). This includes the Imam of our time (atfs). The significance of the Ahlulbayt is highlighted in the Holy Quran through the verse of purification (Ayat al Tatheer, Quran 33:33) and the well-known Hadith al-Thaqalyn which underscores the inseparable bond between the Quran and the Prophet's family.

Quranic Verse (Ayat al-Tatheer, Quran 33:33):

Bismillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem

إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا

“Certainly, Allah desires to keep away all impurity from you, O people of the Household (The Ahlulbayt), and to purify you with a thorough purification.’” (Quran 33:33)

Hadith al-Thaqalyn:

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم: إني تارك فيكم الثقلين كتاب الله وعترتي أهل بيتي فإنهما لن يفترقا حتى يردا علي الحوض

The Messenger of Allah - peace and blessings upon him and his progeny - said: "Verily, I am leaving behind two weighty things (thaqalayn) among you: the Book of God and my kindred (‘itrah), my household (Ahlul Bayt), for indeed, the two will never separate until they come back to me by the Pond (of al-Kawthar on the Judgment Day*)."
