Our purpose

The Ahlulbayt Bookstore is an educational platform seeking to increase the knowledge base and readership of our communities through the facilitation of important classical and contemporary books related to the holy prophet Mohammed (SAW) and his household- the Ahlulbayt (AS). 

The name of the store is dedicated to the Ahlulbayt- which literally translates to the household of the prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him and his progeny) and to the Imam of our time (atfs). The ahlulbayt are mentioned in the Quran in the verse of purification (Ayat al Tatheer) found in chapter 33, verse 33, and in the famous hadith al Thaqalyn- the hadith of the two weighty things by Prophet Mohammed (pbuh). 

Bismillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem

إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا

“Certainly, Allah desires to keep away all impurity from you, O people of the Household (The Ahlulbayt), and to purify you with a thorough purification.’” (Quran 33:33)

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم: إني تارك فيكم الثقلين كتاب الله وعترتي أهل بيتي فإنهما لن يفترقا حتى يردا علي الحوض

The Messenger of Allah - peace and blessings upon him and his progeny - said: "Verily, I am leaving behind two weighty things (thaqalayn) among you: the Book of God and my kindred (‘itrah), my household (Ahlul Bayt), for indeed, the two will never separate until they come back to me by the Pond (of al-­Kawthar on the Judgment Day*)."
